The label recommends drinking this before end of 2016 so, like most of the homework I ever did, I’ve just hit the deadline. In another parallel with most of my homework, it’s good, but not quite good enough. Promising up front but slightly sour round the edges.

Little bit of sauv-sharpness, little bit of chardonnay-body. Best of both worlds. Good braai wine. Probably goes well with chicken, but in true braai fashion, it will be long gone before the braai is done.

Like a clever analogy for something lacking in depth and complexity, this wine (and my English skills) lack a bit of depth and complexity. Still very agreeable, but much better Cabs out there.
