Almost as dark and dense in colour as an offshore BP oil spill but marginally less expensive. Drank it with gorgonzola gnocchi. Agreeable, but unremarkable.
Much more citrus than usual for chardonnay but still with a slight hint of butter and vanilla hints. A wooded chardonnay would probably have suited the dish better.
35% Pinotage, 35% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Shiraz. Pepper and vanilla. A touch acidic, but,maybe that was the pepperoni
