Full disclosure, I drank a bottle of this on my honeymoon in one of the more beautiful places in this beautiful country so it was always going to score well, but those minor details aside, it’s a fantastic drop. Smoother than I was on my honeymoon.
Lourensford SMV 2011
Deep, rich and fragrant like a well-bathed philosopher who just won the lotto. I’m sure Lourensford used to sell older wines than this. Its a shame they dont because this would certainly age well, but I’m impatient.
Simonsig SMV 2009
Well put together, smooth and functional. Much like a silk tractor, but with a bit more class. Silk tractor driven by Liz Hurley maybe?
